    DefaultMy babies are growing up!

I took the 2 extra large dog crates out of our dining room today, because Paisley doesn't need to be crated at all anymore when we are gone! I was leaving Duke's there out of fairness until we could take hers away. Duke and Pais are at my parents house because I shampooed the carpets today, and I'm not really sure how Duke's going to take this no crate thing. I would totally leave it there if our house wasn't so tiny, but we need more room. We also plan on making that room a nursery someday soon (we are going to start trying to get pregnant this fall), and I want them to be used to the crates not being there. It's kind of sad to see the crates gone, I feel like my little puppies are so grown up now!!

..I can't wait for the moment that I'll have to take the crate out. She's almost 5mo so I guess it's gonna take some time before that moment comes.

    How old are your labs?

My boys will always have crates, because they like them and that is their safe place, their den. We also have a very tine place (about 900 sft, 2 bedrooms) so the crates do take up a large amount of available floor space, but they would be lost without them. They also know to go to their crates when we eat, and we send them in whenever someone comes to the door. That way there are no accidents and no possibility of one or both of them getting out.

Mistarkos they are 2 1/2 and 1. I know some people always plan on having crates but we never did at least not in this house. When we build it would be an option.
