While we were out yesterday, something very exciting must have happened in front of our house because Diesel got so worked up he BROKE THE DINING ROOM WINDOW! A thermopane double glazed window. And - not a scratch on him. Unbelievable!

My husband is fit to be tied as fixing this is going to cost him a day of work and he does not know if he can just replace the glass or if the whole sash has to come out. It is the first set of windows we installed on this old house and is 25 years old - I don't know if we can get a matching unit from Anderson. Frack!

Diesel is in the proverbial dog house.

I'm not even *giggling* over this. This is serious business, this smashing of windows!

I feel for you. I really, really do.

He is nuts! My wild and crazy shepherd never did anything like this!

I am seriously thinking about crating him now when we go out. I can't have this happening. I don't want to even think about what could have happened if he had injured himself (or gotten glass in the eyes I just paid a fortune to get fixed).

    Idiot dog.

We had a German Shephard that went through a window once. She was a K9 dog, trained for protection also. Someone came into our fenced yard and through the window she went!!

Glad that Diesel is ok......crating may be a good idea from now on. Expensive lesson to learn!! But...it could have been worse if he had gotten hurt.

You know this worries me about Boo. She will jump on the window when she sees a dog, person, leaf, piece of paper floating in the yard. We have been working with her trying to break her of it and it's helping but still it's a worry. So I understand your dilemma. Glad there was no injury other than your window and pocketbook.

Sorry about the window but glad he's OK. I look for that to happen to my picture window when Judy goes ballistic when she sees a strange cat in her yard.

I am glad he is okay, but so sorry about the window! Holy cow he must have flung himself at that window hard!
