Jenica had her first check up after the surgery yesterday and it went well.
All the stitches were removed and she did fairly well through the assessment. She is occasionally limping, mostly when she first gets up and then as she is walking around it starts to look better. There is still no even weight distribution between the front legs, but that can take a little while longer.
She has been cleared for a little more exercise (5-10 minutes) for the next two weeks, but she also got some more nerve pain medication to taper it off a little more slowly and throughout the week instead of over the weekend (her last medication would have been tomorrow). And she also got some medication to help with her stool, as it got really soft over the last couple of days.
Over all she is doing at least as well as could be expected after this type of surgery and she is the best patient ever. Whenever I start to open one of her pill bottles (it looks like a mini pharmacy in our kitchen) she comes up to me and I can give her her pills. She is also dozing and just calmly hanging out a lot and has so far not even tried to jump onto any of the furniture pieces that she is usually allowed to go onto.
I am glad she is doing well and hope she continues to improve. She sounds like a dream of a post-op patient, such a good girl!

Good girl, Jenica. Thanks for the update.
