Artemis seems really short to me. Much shorter than our previous labs (or I'm remembering wrong). She's well proportioned, just a pip-squeek!
If I wanted to measure her height to see how tall she really is, where would I measure to? I took a stab at trying the other day but she was pretty wiggly so I didn't get a number...
What should she be at a year? She's had her first heat, so I assumed she was pretty close to being done growing. We will wait to spay till at least 18 months...
She turned 1 on Feb 13. She weighs about 55 lbs. Mom wasn't huge (60 lbs)...dad was pretty big. Her one of her brothers (same litter) has been racking up points for his championship and he's much bigger than Artemis (over 80 lbs). Dad has won a bunch and apparently racks in some nice stud fees so that's not surprising. She has a sister who was the runt of the litter who is even smaller than she is, but all the other pups seem to be normal sized (and much, much heavier) based on stats many of us shared on the occasion of their first birthday.

You measure from the floor to the top of the shoulder. Here is a link on measuring: How to measure your dog
Sophie will be a yr old on Apr 13. She's 77lbs. I am not sure of her height, she's wiggly too! She's about the same as other labs I know.
