    DefaultNon-Medical update on HK.

We are now in day 5 of not going outside off lead. She has taken to trying to avoid the leash as best she can. I already posted about the time she brought me her e-collar.

Now for today's circus. I had taken her out twice this morning. About 1:00 I was going to take her for another walk. Where is that damn leash? I spent close to 10 minutes looking for it. I look at her and ask, 'Where is the leash?' Her ears drop.

Okay, she did something with it. I have to find it. DW and I spend close to a half hour looking for the damn leash. She suggests I use a different one. I say that I am not going to let HK win this one. A few minutes later, DW wife calls out 'Ed, Come up here! I found it!' and she is laughing.

We have one bedroom where the door tends to swing closed. We don't use that room, and no one has been in it in a few weeks. Definitiely not since the last morning walk. DW pushes the door open, and there in the middle of the floor is the missing leash. It did not get there by itself, and DW and I never take a leash upstairs. Why would we.

This is going to get tougher every day. She knows not to pull on lead, but I am expecting that is going to be her attempt at some point over the next 3-4 weeks. I did not think dogs were this smart.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.

She will do her best to win this one - you might just leave it attached and she can drag it around for now...
