DefaultGin and her new socks (pics)

We've taken Gin off Deramaxx and have started on Tramadol -- seems to be giving her some comfort, but certainly not the same affect the Deramaxx gave her. We will try the Tramadol for while longer and may decide to go back to anti-inflammatories but keeping a watchful eye on her. Her ulcers seem have healed up and she is, at least, eating normally now.

She is having great difficulty with our floors, so I decided to try out these socks - they have treads on the bottom. They seem to be working - give her just enough traction that she can stand from a laying down position with only a couple of attempts. She wasn't quite sure of them at first, but she seems to be walking around fine with them now.

    Giving them a test-run

Glad they are helping. I have just made some for Tessa and the high paw walk is hilarious. You want to laugh, but don't.

Glad the ulcers are healing and she is eating. She is adorable.

That's great that she doesn't mind wearing them and it's a lot easier than putting throw rugs all over. I put sox on Mitzi to keep her from licking paws, but she hated it so I stopped. I guess the difference is that Gin wants to walk without slipping and knows the sox help.
