    Angryvangie

so, right after i called kathy, the woman at guiding eyes,to tell her how well vangie was doing, i found her sleeping on the couch.ok, she jumped right off when i entered the room.

then, when nick was crating all the dogs, she projectile vomited all over her bed and the carpet in the basement.
she seemed perky and fine all day so foolishly, i fed her dinner.
at about 10 last night i heard that heave. of course, all over my new persian tribal area rug in my bedroom. about 5 lbs of olive green slop, and nick rushed her outside, but not before leaving some in the kitchen (oak floor, easy enough to clean up).
nick got out our new (only used 3x before, all for vangie on my new rug-one barf after eating some blueberries, of course, and 2 poops, that i stepped in. not good) hoover steam carpet cleaner, after i picked up and blotted with club soda.
i go downstairs to attend to the kitchen but rex was kind enough to clean it all up for us.

now, no breakfast and no dinner tonight.
what to give her tomorrow morning? over boiled rice? small amount of her kibble?

Cooked chicken breast & rice. Only about 1/2 of what you'd normally feed her though for the next 2 days.

Also, add some glucose powder to the water bowl. It helps settle the stomach. My water bowl holds about 3L. I usually add 2 heaped desert spoons to it when mine has the odd vomiting attack.

    Hope she's better soon.

AKA dextrose. You should be able to get it from the supermarket, drug store or maybe a health food shop?

This is what I use. Glucodin is just a brand name.

    - Pharmacy Direct - Home - Pharmacy Direct

I always have a couple of packets in the pantry for that very reason.

will check it out but never heard of it.
is it like giving pedialyte to a baby (or gatorade)? replenishes what they lost?
