    I want him!

I have a question for Laura (labby)....Do the mismarks generally have any other health issues or does the mismark issues just affect appearance?
I know in boxers for example, when they breed for white boxers, there is a high incidence of deafness/blindness that comes with the white coat color. Any genetic issues with mismarked labs (skin problems, eye problems, etc)?

it says he is mix so doubt this coloring is a "mismark" and can be linked to a health issue. and as far as i know mismarks are not at all th same thing as dogs born all white (boxers, aussie, ect.)

sounds like this is a stray - he is in a shelter

I'm willing to bet he's listed as a mix because of his coloring. Shelters are notorious for calling every black dog a Lab mix, everything with ticking or spots a Dalamtian mix, and if it's black and white, it's a Border Collie mix.

he looks like he's HUGE...so I'd agree with the mix part.

yes shelters make errors on breed guesses but i'd say mix as this is beyond a normal mismark

I doubt he's purebred, but there shouldn't be any health issues because of his markings.
