DefaultWhat a weekend... a rescue, a half birthday and a new puppy (many pics)

This was a very busy weekend.... First the Lab topic. On sunday we found this gorgeous chocolate Lab lost (or abandoned) in the woods where we go mountain biking. He looked like he had been there for at least a week, his ribs were showing and his coat was a mess. He was in the restaurants and cabins area so we think he was abandoned because otherwise he would have been found by his owner days before (the people from the restaurants told us he had been there since last weekend and nobody had come to search him)

His name is Alvin. A friend decided to take him to his home. He´s very playful, loves water and playing fetch, though he´s a bit dominant and aggressive with other dogs, but we think it was because of all the stress of being on his own (and dealing with feral dogs in the area). Unless an owner with a reasonable excuse appears, he now has a forever home at my friend´s. Pic is after a bath.

Next one is just a pic of my brother´s new puppy, its a chocolate newfoundland. He´s sooo cute, looks like a baby bear. His name is Carusso.

Last one... my little puppy just turned six months old on saturday... wow, its already been 3 months since I got him. He´s now a tad larger than the labs. His ears are as stubborn as they can be (vet and breeder say its because of theething) one day they´re up, next day down... Overall he´s been a great puppy, gets along great with Misha and Homer and is a very gentle soul. Happy half birthday Vermont! Keep on growing!

Very cute Newfy and Carusso is a GREAT NAME!

That labby is lucky you were there to find him, he's beautiful.

And what did you do to baby Vermont? OMG!

Breeders of collies here glue ears, is that not common in MexicO?

Newfs come black, brown, grey and black and white...like Nola's BFF Chelsea. Chelsea is what is called 'Landseer'

Alvin is gorgeous. I am so glad you found him. How could anyone just leave their dog? What a cute Newfie. And where did your puppy go? Vermont sure is handsome.
