Military Dogs Will No Longer Be Considered "Equipment" if Bill Passes

Email your rep. and tell them this is a good bill.

Our Military Working Dogs should not be considered Equipment, ask any handler or solider who is alive because of one.

Military Working Dogs are not a equipment over here in the Netherlands, they even get payed for it, just like the handler (for vet bills, food, etc .. ). And if they retire, the go with the handler or they are available for adoption

( they even can get medals and awards over here )

I know in my local town they have a new police dog, the dog is referred to as “Officer” in police reports and has a badge number. The dog lives with his handler who has gone through extensive training a selection to be part of the K9 unit.

They spend a great deal of time doing education and demonstrations around the community. Although the handler always makes a point in saying that the K9 is NOT a pet, he is a working dog butwhen you see them interact they are clearly much more than just a pet…he’s a partner and a best friend. ..Not just a piece of equipotent to keep in the trunk.
