The boys do not like to go outdoors after dark. Jack will sit in the living room and stare at me at the open door and buddy will come forward and peer around the door jamb and look up at me wagging his tail slowly with a Oh you so fuh-knee look.
Jack and Buddy let me sleep in and did not get up with Wife either. When I finally got out of bed it was raining. I figured it had been more than 12 hours since they had been out and headed for the door. I had it wide open before Buddy got there and he was definitely on a mission as he trotted onto the porch and almost fell off coming to a stop at the top of the steps as he realized it was raining and turned around and ran back inside. Jack got halfway onto the porch as Buddy passed him going back in and Jack backed up almost as fast as his forward momentum. Buddy did come back to the doorway and thrust his nose out past the door jamb, took a deep breath then bolted off the side of the porch under the overhang, did his thing and came back inside the same way. Jack just said no.
These guys will trot through mud. Buddy has gone chest deep in the tidal mud flats by the dog park, yet these guys will not go out in the rain. Never fails to amaze me.

Go figure. That is funny!
Funny how they are all different ! My two are not averse to a bit of rain but only Dylan will get his feet wet in the stream - Jasper freaks out at water !
Even Dylan won't go in the sea ! To scarey !
Heh...that's not a problem with my boys. Rain, snow, mud, whatever...
