    Defaultbath for new puppy?

Our new 8wk old puppy that we brought home today is kind of dirty...bits of dried poop in one or two spots. Can I give him a quick bath?

A gentle brush would be better at that age if there's no smell.

that, or you said in one or 2 spots. I think it may be okay to wash the dirty areas.

I don't think it's normal. Does he have a vet check up soon? I would address that when you take him in. (When I brought Zoe home, the first thing I did was make an appointment for her)

Does the puppy have fleas? Check it over really well, fleas can make a puppy sick. Make a vet appt ASAP. That is the first thing any new puppy needs to do. Be sure to hold the puppy at the vet's, don't allow it on the floor, or to be in contact with any other dogs. You could give him a sponge bath. Wet wash cloth, warm house, dry him well. What's his name?

His name is Louis! He was actually just scratching on the collar when I put it on him. Guess he doesn't like it so much!

Sophie hated her collar at first! She scratched at it all the time! I ended up getting her a really narrow little light weight collar. She did ok with that, then as time went on I got her a little wider one.
