Maybe the experts would cast their eyes over the ingredients and give me your opinion !

Their stools are certainly firmer - no I'm not a poop studier but I do pick it up !

Here is a link to a site that shows you how to rate the food you are considering. Maybe this will help you.

Well I will tell you that I don't like how it says "minerals and vitamins" and doesn't tell you which ones.

Does your bag say the same thing or does it have a more specific ingredient list?

the protein is low for my liking but i don't know what you have to choose from. and i am no dog food expert. i heard good things about burns years ago; but that was before all this other stuff was out there. again, not sure of what you have to choose from over there across the pond!

Do your dogs have allergies? A reason you want low protein? I prefer a food with first ingredient from meat specific protein at 26% or higher.

You mention a trainer? What type of training? I assume the oil listed at 7.5% is fat? If so that is not much for an active dog to draw energy from. Dogs utilize fat for energy first.

Obedience trainer and she thoguht that Jasper could lose a few pounds ( Can't they always )

I temper the diet with a good quality tinned food rather than solely the Burns.

I suppose that they each get 300kg of the Burns and 100kg of the meat which is a Pedigree product including vegetables.

Having a dog for cancer, my eye is drawn to the carbs...which is 50%!!! Thats huge.

I also don't like the ingredients at all. Chicken, which includes water is listed as first ingredient. Then 'Meat by product meal' what kind of animals does this include?

    I'd keep looking.
