I finally got hold of a vet, then my vet. Seems they had a power cut and the phone went to after hours, giving me the message they have had over the holidays, and emergency vets weren't on.
They are not sure if he has a blockage or it is the inflammed gut from the Chrons they can feel. He said for him to vomit 3 days later meant he still had polystyrene in his gut. With the inflamation it would make it more difficult to pass. He said I had done everything right since Sunday and given Erns stronger meds to coat his gut in the next 24 hours. If he vomits more or worsens I am to take him in.
t is a holiday here and have been trying to get the emergency vet for the past hour and a little worried about Erns. Garry left a pack of sasuages on the bbq on Sunday and they ate them.
Today is Wednesday and he has just thrown up bits of the black tray the meat comes in and bile.24 hours I would have thought, but 3 days.Anyone know how dangerous or not that is. ?
He has been off for a couple of days and thought just his gut unsettled with his Crohns and thought he was coming right until this.Bile isn't a good sign for him and usually urgent vet or at least talk to a vet, but the black polystyrene as well is concerning. He is drinking and will keep a close eye on him and try to get a vet.
ETa. Polystryene not plastic.

Poor Erns. Sending good thoughts for him, Chris.
No real advice, just prayers that Erns will be OK - It's probably good that he is throwing up the plastic instead of trying to pass it through. Hope you can at least talk to a vet soon.
poor guy (and poor you) - sending good thoughts

Oh Chris how scary sure hope you can get him in soon.
I am not sure but maybe you could give him a dose of Pepto Bismal? I wasn't sure if this was something he could take with his medical issues. Sending good thoughts for a speedy recovery, I sure hope all is ok.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
The bile means his gut is inflammed and he can go down hill very quickly.
Lots of good thoughts for Erns!

This cannot be good my friend. I understand that the polystyrene will not break down and will cause problems in the bowels of a normal dog. With his bowel problems he may be in a lot of pain. Poor fellow. Is all of the polystyrene tray gone or did they just get a bit??? My prayers are with you.
