    DefaultWorried! She got Comet cleanser!

Sophie managed to grab the Comet cleanser off the counter, and before we got her to drop it, she had popped the canister with her teeth, and shook it like crazy. Comet was fogging out, but most of it stayed in the container. She had some on her nose, we cleaned her nose with a Q-tip. I looked it up online before calling our vet. It said to give 50/50 milk and water, watch for vomiting. It happened about 2 hours ago. Our vet said to watch her, and to check her mouth after a few hours for any evidence of burns to the mucosa. The vet said even though its caustic, when we clean with it, it doesn't burn our hands, so its not as bad as straight bleach or other cleaners. I swear! She is fast! My husband was cleaning the counter and she grabbed it and thought she had a fun toy! I think because it is a cylinder shape and looks like the wrapping paper card board roll we let her play with. I am proud she dropped it when told to, but her strong jaws and teeth punctured it immediately. Have any of you had your dog get ahold of anything like this. I worry.

Flynn is fond of SOS scouring pads. No harm done yet.
Soph may have an upset tummy for awhile if he ingested much but probably not much else. Your vet gave right advice.

How scary! I also had a scary thing with Tank tonight but it was something different. I agree with the vet and just wach her very carefully.

Sophie is on a regular roll in the last few weeks! I am glad she is ok, I would have been scared to death also. I still can't get over Flynn eating multiple sos pads, the thought of that is enough to make me shake my head, lol! Apparently these dogs will try anything and sos pads to some Labs are a tasty treat!

I agree also, watch her carefully. They sure can get into mischief ...

She seems fine after her adventure with the Comet! I checked her mouth and see no burns or anything. She never did get sick. Whew!

Glad Sophie is okay!! I guess I'm lucky, so far the only things Hamilton has eaten have been a 12 pack of toilet paper, two rolls of towel paper and a box of Kleenex.
