    DefaultBest paw protectors???

    Hello,

I'm looking to buy some paw protectors for my lab bailey. She is really active and needs protectors that won't fall off when she chasing a ball or running through the woods. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I keep thinking about these but have not bought any yet. Let me know how you make out.

Here is a link to the ones we got for Molly when she cut her pad on ice crusted snow. They did stay on...but truthfully, she did not like walking in them & would not walk too far.

We tried them, but Bauer would just bite them off. We use Musher's wax to keep snow from building up and sticking between his toes; and to protect his feet from salt on sidewalks.

I always thought it would be cool to get Simon paw protecters for we could bring him in the mountains in the white snow.

I have dog boots for my old girl, Tasha, because she tends to scuff her rear paws. The muttluks work quite well in non-snow conditions, but they don't provide any traction on ice or snow. Also, if the snow is wet, the fleece muttluks really tend to get lots of snow stuck to them.

For winter/snow conditions, I've found that the Ruffwear Bark'n Boots work quite well. They have a vibrum sole and provide good traction in slippery conditions.

I haven't had any problems with the boots coming off because I cinch them on quite snugly, but my girl is also a senior, so she doesn't run around as much as a younger dog might.
