In the house that is I woke up in the middle of the night when she barked - just once. About a minute later she barked again. Usually if she barks at night it's becuase there is something outside that got her attention and she does several barks in a row. If she keeps it up, I get up and tell her to be quiet. Tonight it was just one short bark. After about 3 of them I got up to investigate. Skippy came to greet me, but no Emilu. I called her - no Emilu. Looked in her bed, looked in the living room, calling her - No Emilu. Then she would bark, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from.. I looked outside both front and back and called her (maybe somehow she got outside), no Emilu. I went upstairs and checked both rooms and the bathroom - no Emilu, then I came back downstairs and checked the back hall bathroom and sure enough, she had gone in and the door closed behind her. Not only that, but she had helped herself to the dog food - dog food container has been in there for 6 years and the dogs have never bothered it, but tonight she got the lid off and helped herself. That might explain the unexpected recent weight gain. (I found the lid off a few nights ago, but blamed it on the cats) Not only that, but I discovered that she peed in the basement again last night! That girl is going to drive me crazy!
Oh Emilu, you monkey!
So she's been sneaking in there for food and tonight she got caught!

I'm *snicker snickering*, too.
Don't be a pig, Em. It'll get you trapped again!

Well, perhaps she learned her lesson? Sneaking around for food just gets ya in trouble! Emilu, whatever will we do with you!
Sorry about the peeing in the basement, Lola has been pooping in the house so we've been extra diligent in going back to crating her when we're not home (she's almost 5) and making sure she's on a potty schedule again!

Lola, our mellow yellow gal. Gotcha on 1-7-07
Emilu sneaking food ? Are you sure it's not the cats ?
Poor little Emilu. I bet those cats taught her that naughty trick!!
