So scary. Garth's pug had one, and it was an infection. The vet put a drain in it and put him on antibiotics and it got well. I have read that dogs get lumps in their necks due to infections. I know you are worried, and here it is a Holiday. How big is the lump, is it soft, hard....does it move around under the skin? I will keep good thoughts and paws crossed for Simon.

The bump is really small. Will it get bigger? Should we make an appointment to go to the vet on Monday? Simon did have an ear infection. Could that be what it is? Simon also was allergic to chicken in his food. He chewed at his fur and he had bald spots everywhere. We changed his food and now he is better.

Did the lump come up suddenly? Does it move around under the skin? I would take him to the vet. Garth's dog had an infection. Also could it be a tick? If a tick gets on your dog and dies, it leaves a lump. Your Simon sounds like he has allergies like our Sophie. She was going bald and had an awful bumpy rash on her inner thighs, and she scratched all the time. She had ear infections all the time. We put her on Comfortis because the vet said some dogs are so allergic to fleas that one bite can cause flea allergy dermatitis. We changed her to grain free food. The vet also said that many dogs are allergic to chicken or lamb and to chose a food that she had not had before. That's why we chose TOTW Pacific Stream. She had not had fish. The difference has been amazing! Her coat grew back and is shiny and beautiful. No ear infections and no itching. We also put her on cod liver oil gel caps because she has dry skin. The vet said that when we changed the food, to not give her anything else for 6 weeks. We started noticing a difference within a week or so. Just for peace of mind if nothing else, I'd get that lump checked as soon as you can.

I would get it checked out by the vet. It could be nothing to worry about but always better to check it out.

Ok! I will try to get him to the vet! I am scared for. Whatever it is the vet will know right? If it is something, it will get better for sure? I hope he will be ok!

Oh, and it doesn't move around under the skin.

The vet will often do a needle aspiration to see what's in it. Good thoughts for you and Simon! Let us know what you find out.
