I went for a look at my local charity shop today. This place sells all sorts of donated goods & some of it's really good quality. I was actually looking for a couple of cabinets for the computer room & saw this instead:

While I was taking pics, a certain pooch decided it was HIS new resting place. Damned fool jumped straight up. I thought he was going to break a leg.

I've got a full tin of paint left over from when they painted the house. I'll be putting it to good use on the weekend. Looks like I'll have to put the chairs up on the table when it's not in use before someone has an accident.

Oh, that is so Hoss-like....... Just today, while processing deer livers and hearts, I had to bitch at Hoss for jumping up on the picnic table....

Wow those seats are broad !

Bear's just testing them out for you Dad ! and nobody's going to steal that table while he's on it are they ?

Should you really paint them ? They look fine to me, and the paint's going to peel off eventually with outside furniture !

Well that is where the food is gong to be isn't it. Just practising for when it arrives.lol

    Good bargin.
I agree with Colin about painting. Looks fine. Those things are a pain once you start. If you do be careful. Friends of ours did and peoples clothes were constantly stained.

I was wondering why you were painting as well. After all, the current color contrasts nicely with a handsome, yellow labby

I think Bear was just waiting for an afternoon snack. I love the color as it is now. I don't think I would be painting them either (IMO). I like the wide seats too. Easier to get in and out of than a regular picnic table we have in the states. Good find!!

As soon as I drove in, I saw it sitting outside the shop. I thought to myself if that's only about $100, I'll have that. Imagine my surprise when I saw how cheap it really was.

So you don't think I should paint it? I've got all this spare paint in the garage & I want to use on something.
