    DefaultAnyone Have Any Ideas?

My husband and I are participating in sponsoring two dogs for Christmas through a program called Break The Chain. They are a program in NY (we live in PA), I heard about them through facebook and they do WONDERFUL things. They are a program that works with families who keep their animals out on chains day in and day out, to bring the animals inside or find them other homes, they also provide all the care/food for these animals. Anyway they have dogs listed who, without sponsorship would get nothing for Christmas. We signed up to sponsor two dogs...I have no clue what to get these poor animals for Christmas. They are off the pitbull breed (I don't have much experience with this breed, but know that they have strong jaws). I am wondering if anyone knows of anyone who has this breed of dog, or has experience with them themselves and would have suggestions as far as toys that would be good for this breed? Thank you!

My Cousin has 2 my aunt has one uncle has 2 i used to have one. My realitives dogs get along really well with my dogs and the "oldies" which is usally Tank , Midnight, and Sunny hang out and watch the pups play. Which is Bentley,Trixie and Axel. They play with all the same toys my dogs play with. They get torn up just as quick and played with just as much. There a stronger breed so you need rules or u will be in trouble(like labs but they can be more head storng). Here are some pics of my realitives pit bulls.

    Trixie
Axel(he loves that bumper of his)

now the pittie pile up..it is my uncle his cat and his two dogs Sunny adn midnight

    They love kids!

How about a black kong (the stronger kind) and a jar of peanut butter (to stuff it with, and does not need to be refrigerated. Or some milk bones or some such treat to put in a similar puzzle toy?

    Are these dogs still chained?

I did end up getting them two bags of treats and some kongs and nylabones. They are no longer chained. That's what's great about this program. They will either work with the owners to get them to bring them back indoors and treat them appropriately or they will work with the owners to have them re-homed. There are many success stories with them. I wish there were more groups around like them because there are many chained dogs in our area alone (PA).

If they are in their family home, how about a dog bed?
