Rush had a gas attack last night and gasX didn't help. By midnight she was really working herself up. At 2 am we were on our way to the E-vet. 2.5 hours later, after a shot for pain and xrays, she started acting better so rather than leave her there, I brought her home. At 8:00 am this morning we were at our vets. They kept her for the morning and released her at noon. She is feeling much better but very mopey. Our vet looked at the xrays and agreed with the E-vet diagnosis but thinks that her hips are bothering her quite a bit. So she is on Rimadyl 2 x a day. I hope she gets feeling like her old self, I want my pup back. So if you could spare a good thought or prayer for her it would be greatly appreciated. Needless to say she is very tired and so am I since neither of us slept at all last night. I am so scared she won't come back to her ole self. I have been sick to my stomach since this whole thing started. Our Dr. was kidding me about who was worse, Rush or me.
Well last night was better but she didn't stay in bed with me. She slept on the floor, which got my anxiety level jacked up so all night I was checking up on her. (of course worse case scenario's kept running through my mind) She's eating normally, but I haven't seen her poop yet so hopefully today on our walk she'll drop a load. Only a lab lover could look forward to seeing their dog poop. lol
She slept pretty well but is still tired. I slept a little and am a little tired. haha My poor baby. Thanks for your well wishes and prayers.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I will pray for her. Have you ever put her on glucosamine? We had our 12 yr old on it, and it took awhile but we saw a big difference after awhile. Our Maggie was getting around so much better the last yr or so of her life. I can't say for sure that is what helped so much, but it was the only thing different we put her on. She was getting up and down so much better and even able to hop up on the bed, which she hadn't been able to do for quite awhile. Anyway, I figure its worth a try. Good thoughts are coming your way.
