Yeah I was wondering also. Dan isn't on much during the weekend, hopefully he will check in or update us on Monday.
Sending good thoughts for him.

Bump- for any update I may of missed!
Just seeing this.
Thx for asking.
Better. He was really sore the day after. Not interested in eating much. Kinda moped around the house. Licked the dewclaw an awful lot, so I know it was bothering him. Fortunately, he was still on the antibiotic from the initial injury, so I wasn't too worried about a subsequent infection.
He's still kind of ginchy about it -- I went to dry his paw after the rain we had (3 days straight - ugh!) and he told me he wasn't happy.... But nonetheless, I perservered.
He's got a follow-up visit to the vet tomorrow night. I should have an official word then.
Our obed instructor texted me from the Phila Kennel Club Show, asking how he was. Whether there will be any 'official' censure for Reese (the dobe who went nutz on him) is unknown....
For my part, I know I'm not bringing Wes to class this week, and I've got to take off next week (Thanksgiving Eve service @ church), so it'll be a while before Reese and Wes are exposed to each other again.
I hate to say it, but I'm considering leaving Wes home from now on. Not sure 100% that's the direction I'm going, but I'm considering it. It's really not fair -- especially since, before the Snarly Charlies, he was really enjoying himself -- but all the same, I think I'd be a bundle of nerves to take him back.
That's a painful decision that I'm not going to fully mull over 'til after the break for Thanksgiving. Those classes meant an awful lot to Wes -- the difference, really, between a happy home and being re-homed (Wes was a brat). And our instructor loves him to pieces. As do an awful lot of the other students/owners/handlers.
I'm okay retiring Wesley from competition. But the day that I need to retire him from class altogether will be really sad..........

Get better Wes. I hope he can go back to the class without incident.
Glad to hear he's doing better. Healing thoughts.

I'm glad to here he's doing better also. It would be a shame to retire him from class, but I'd rather have that, than see him hurt again.
Glad he is getting better Dan. Keep us posted please
