    DefaultPoor Pitiful Bauer

DH and DS are out sighting in their guns, and my poor gun-shy dog is ducking for cover under my desk.

    Poor thing.

If they are good shots, it should not last long! Poor Bauer!

He would be tearing down the door to get inside. It is over now, and he has ventured from below the desk. He hasn't left the office yet . . . maybe at dinner time.

It scares me because he pants very fast, his nose runs, he drools . . . this is the only thing that really scares him. It's awful.

Poor Bauer! It scares me when Tank gets stressed to. Does Bauer start to "cry sometimes? Tank does so I put him in his crate and cover it with a blanket to calm him just a little.

I would love to find a way to desensitize him (but have no idea how), it is a very scary reaction. Normally they wait until we are gone to shoot guns, but were in a hurry today. We are surrounded by woods, and with gun season starting next week it will be a daily struggle. We don't have his crate up anymore, but he uses my desk or our closet as a crate. He "crates" himself when he is upset, but it is just so hard to watch. Today he HAD to be touching me under the desk, my sock and pant leg were soaked with drool and snot.
