    DefaultDogs can't whistle

I have been walking all three Labs together; Mitzi and Judy by my side and Bruno on a retractable leash so he can prance ahead of the three old ladies. Last week, when he got too far ahead, I whistled. He turned around and looked at Judy, came back and nosed her, then went ahead of us again. I whistled, he came back to Judy, nosed her again as if to say "What?" then went ahead of us again. I repeated this over and over again and he always came to Judy until I couldn't contain my laughter and showed him that I'm the one who whistled. It's hard to whistle and laugh at the same time, but he got the right idea. He no longer comes to Judy when I whistle, he now knows dogs can't whistle.

Hahaha that is so funny! How cute, maybe he has a secret wish to learn how to whistle.

That is cute! Wonder why he thought it was Judy and not Mitzi. Isn't Mitzi the one he always uses for a pillow? (Or used to?)

Maybe there is something we do not know! Perhaps, when we humans are not around, dogs whistle like those professionals whistlers!!

No, Judy was always his favorite pillow. Judy adopted him when I brought home puppy Bruno. She taught him everything and "protected" him from Duke. Now he always looks to Judy for guidance, not to me.
Is Judy the queen of the pack?
She likes to think so but she answeres to Mitzi who is laid-back,not a leader, but asserts herself when she wants to.
