So, as anyone on the east coast and in New England can tell you, it has been one wild ride. We lost power about 8:00 pm on Saturday night from the unexpected October Nor'easter. Being on a well, that also meant no water, which is a bit of a pain all around. We lost a lot of large tree limbs, got trapped for a bit in the driveway and spent some really cold nights. I have never been so happy to have power as I was yesterday at 4:00 pm. However, one bright spot was that sweet Echo has come to join our family. My husband picked her up after he cleared the driveway and we got to spend some cold days and nights warmed by this new addition. Wyatt loves her to pieces. We all slept in the family room around the fireplace for heat, so the adjustment home was pretty quick for her. She is doing great in her crate, listens to Wyatt and just does the typical puppy chewing, etc. She is a love. We feel very fortunate that it all worked out well in the end. Here are some pictures of Echo (and our storm). -- We should have named her Stormy!

I am from the North Shore, so I kind of know what you are talking about. Fortunately we lost power for only about 10 minutes.
She's adorable! Congrats!
Thanks, all. Trick or treating was postponed until this Friday. It was just too dangerous with all of the downed limbs, power lines, etc. My daughter turned six yesterday and was so good about everything. She said a donut was as good as a cake! Echo is a real love, and it is so nice having an older dog to show her the ropes. She follows him everywhere! The only issue we have so far is that she gets a third meal in the middle of the day, which drives Wyatt nuts! He gets a little treat at that time, but it isn't the same. Alls well that ends well.
