Today we meet with the Library youth services director and on Saturday, Rhumba and I have a meet and greet with several students before we they launch their Reading Dog program in which Roo will be heading up! So far we are the only team but I have a team of Goldens who will join in later.
Today we discuss schedule, how many students we can take on, how we will present on Saturday.
I am SO nervous but excited!!! She is PERFECT for this JOB.

What a terrific activity for you and Rumba. As a former reading-dog handler, I can promise you that you'll invest a little time here and there and reap ENORMOUS satisfaction. I loved the time I spent w/the kids and can't wait to get back in the saddle again.

Sounds like fun for both of you and it helps the kids so much. Kudos to both of you for this!
Meet and greet with the director went great!! We also met up with his assistant. That Roo was a hit! She is such a ham.
While we were talking in the meeting room a little girl entered the youth services room and I hear her say "ooooh a doggie". Roo caught sight of her and her tail went wild. They stared at each other for a while before I finally had to say to the little girl. "Would you like to come meet her?" Her voice and eyes got big "YES I WOULD!" LOL
We got to walk the library and visit our "nook" where we will spend our therapy time.
Here she is on the steps of the library.
