    DefaultUGH! Lumps!

I found a good size lump on my Lily. On her spine a few inches below her shoulder blades. Got me a little worried. Calling a couple vets ASAP tomorrow and seeing who ever can get me in first.

It might be an infection. Garth's dog just had a knot taken off it's neck, and it was an infection. His dog is doing fine, so we will pray that yours will as well. I can sure see why you are worried. Good thought are coming your way.

Oh. The Lumps. Seamus has one somewhere on his undercarriage, so does Flynn. I just continue to massage them... they float around so I'm not *too* worried about those old lumps.

What did Laura once say? (paraphrase here) Cut away all the lumps on a lab and you'll have no dog left at all.

    So... chin up, eh?

Kim Shaymie had one of these a few months ago. Scared me to death. it was hard and hard usuallynisn't good. took him to the vet and he felt it and our eyes met. chit! he did an aspiration with a needle and got nothing so we decided to do an x-ray. he looked at me again and I said, "I know and I'm prepared". we both expected it to be cancer.

we looked at the x-ray and it was obviously not. it was spondylitis and he had a lesion on the spine from it. while it's still there and he has pain once in awhile, it could have been a heck of a lot worse.

so moral of the story is, maybe it's something like that and not ominous.

Like you laura I am going in knowing this could be bad. I am SO thankful I have vets I work with that know I am a straight shooter. I don't like them to tip toe around me. Just the fact if is hard and in that location makes me sick so I am prepared to hear the worse.

She got her apt set for tomorrow at 1 with the new doctor. He is super sweet and just out of school, but I love him.
