DefaultMy decision for my girl is made..

and it's the toughest one so far in life. Talked with the vet today and he gave me time, this week, to think about it. I sat down on the floor with my girl. Petted her made her and she petted me with her paws like she always does. She licked my hands. She played with her silly cat toy she made my parents buy for her last Christmas! Even tho I cry mostly those days, she always know how to make me smile. She's almost 14, but is not ready to leave this life yet. I have to make what's best for Emma and no one can tell me. I have to make the right decision, but what if the right decision turn out to be the wrong one?

I know people can think I'm selfish, but I really do it for her, not me. I have had "What's best for Emma?" In my head all evening. Other people might not see what I'm seeing, but seeing her play with the glove and jump like a pup (even if she's not supposed to do that due to her arthritis) makes me wanna give her some more quality time here on earth before it's time. Because when I look into her eyes I see she wants to live.

It's lots of thoughts spinning in my head. So much can go wrong during this surgery, yet the last one did go well (except for that dumb lump coming back ) I just wish the vet could give me guaranties: "The surgery will go smoothly without any complications and Emma will be fine for so and so long...") If it's succeed and the lump can be removed the cost will easy run up to 10 000 Swedish Crowns, which my mom is going to lend me. (Bless her. She has already helped us out the previous times).

The vet will open her up and see if it's possible to remove it. If it isn't, he'll close her and wake her up. We'll not take any unnecessary risks. But it's a risky area with the throat and blood vessels close by. I just wish there was an easy solution to all of this. But there isn't. I just pray everything will be fine and nothing go wrong with my girl. I pray for my decision will be the right one.

Veronica, you have searched your heart and are doing what's best for Emma. She will come through this and we will see what happens after that. In the mean time, we will all be here with {{{HUGS}}} and support and love for you both.
Let us know the details when you find out what they are and we will pull a JL prayer and good thought fest!!!
    Prayers on the way!

Veronica, I know it's such a hard decision for you to make. I will be praying for you and Miss Emma to make it through this so you can have some more time with her. You know how much you two mean to us all here. Do you know when it's going to be yet?
