DefaultI had never seen a Silver Lab before

I was browsing around some of the links I saw when trying to find the JL calendars.

Then I got to this page.
Scroll down, you will see it.

WoW! The head looks more like a Weim than a Lab head.

Ed, Ed, Ed. Are you bored? Is it retirement? Because otherwise I might have to re-think my recommendation of you as an adopter if you insist on starting drama threads like silver labs (turkey herding and 4' tall or not).

Maybe you really do need a second dog now that you've got all this extra time on your hands.

I saw one in person.. so strange looking. At first glance, I thought she was a Weimaraner.. then I looked again and said "ooops - 'silver' lab!" Sure enough, I look at the chart and the owner listed her as a Labrador Retriever, color "silver."

Uh! Oh! I don't think I ever started a drama thread before. Honest, I didn't go looking for Silver Labs. I was just browsing the article and THERE IT WAS. I was seriously surprised that the head looked so much more Weimer than Lab.

By the way, I like Weimers. I don't know that there is a dog I dislike, from purebred to Heinz57. Many I would never own, but will always pet and play with if I come across them. I just like Labs a whole lot more.

It looks like a Weim. No way I'd ever mistake it for a lab.
But...the coat color is GORGEOUS!!! If there was a way to have a full pure bred lab with all the lab features and that coat color...wow.
    Fortunately, I know better.

I have only seen one in person. One of my co-workers bought one down in Texas somewhere. She did look like a Weim. - color and coat. I didn't know what to "say" so I went with the obvious. "Sweet puppy, playful and cute as could be." She grew up to be very hyper but both he and his wife love her dearly and that is all that really mattered.

It is OK Ed. We know you didn't mean to start any "drama".
