I have a little wallet that fits into the back pocket of my jeans when I don't take a handbag. I have been using it a lot lately.
Yesterday I thought I am sure I put that on the table. With Tessa following me I went around the house looking for it. At one point I thought I just saw her chew something and looked at her. No. Her mouth was still as she looked at me wagging her tail and no movement from her mouth. I imagined it.
This went on for half an hour. I started to feel a little uneasy, and tried to think where I used it. A couple of times I could swear I saw her chew, and each time I waited no chewing. What have you got Tess.. Nothing..Straight faced...nothing at all., I tried to get my fingers between her clenched teeth and thought no she doesn't have anything poor wee girl. Where is that wallet.
Decided to have a coffee so my brain might function and remeber where I last saw it. I didn't want to loose the money but worse the credit card. Tess curled up on her bed beside Erns while I drank my coffee. It wasn't until I finished that I saw something slip between her teeth.
My wallet...that little sneaky dog. All chewed. lolol. Do they plan these things. lol.I have been blaming Erns for things and now beginning to wonder....
Cory told a nurse we have 2 Labs. A thief and a liar. We all know the thief but Tess isn't a liar...oh yes she is..
Oh dear. Tessa! (glad you found your wallet, and hope the innards were still intact)
Oh how I know the chew/no chew routine. They are smart.
Zoe once hid the knot of a rawhide in her mouth that she found on her walk. I thought it was strange that she wasn't panting...looked at her, and there was a bulge in her cheek. Sneaky ones they are!
Linda and Zoë, the Umlaut
A veritable den of iniquity you're running there, girl. Thieves. Liars. Any humping going on???

That is too funny, Chris. Pretty sly girl. Hope the innards were intact.
Me thinks Mr. Erns has been doing some tutoring in The Art of Being Sneaky. Good job Professor Erns, you seem to have an eager student.
You confessed to leaving the wallet ( leather aka food ) at mouth level.
I have no sympathy.
