BBC is running a series of programmes about 9/11 in the lead up to the anniversary.

It all brings it home again.

Many many brave stories and an animal being involved is even more poignant.

Amazing story. Roselle was bred at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, California. She was this gentleman's fifth guide dog. I was very sorry to hear that this lovely hero(ine) dog passed away this June after years of dedication and hard work. For more information, see Roselle – A Sad Day : The Michael Hingson Group.

Guide Dogs for the Blind, based in San Rafael, CA and Boring, Oregon (yes, name of a town) is a tremendous organization--if you are ever in the area, attend one of their Guide Dog graduations.
