    DefaultWhy BJ why?

BJ has taken to peeing behind or on two little female dogs at the dog park. Their Mom laughs it off, but I am embarrassed. I watch him like a hawk every time he goes near them now. They are all spayed/neutered. What would make him do this? He doesn't do it to Blaze

Is he marking them? Tank pees on mae sometimes but most of the time she goes under the spot of fire! She is weird.

It's probably the "over pee" thing they do. Judy always over pees Mitzi's spot, but that's not a problem. (both girls) But when Duke started to over pee Mitzi's , he didn't always wait for her to finish and sometimes got her. I had to scold him whenever he went near her as she peed. He eventually learned to wait til she walked away from it. I don't know what makes Mitzi's pee spot so desirable to over pee. he doesn't do it to Judy's. (All are spayed and neutered.)

No, they are just sitting around in a group and BJ will go behind them and pee on them

Sorry can't offer an advice except to say Erns used to do it. He hasn't peed on them or people for a few months now so not sure if he has stopped. I was told his was a dominance thing. Not sure.

Sounds like he's marking them - a step more than the "pee over". Baxter will wait till Emilu pees, laps some up (yep - ick!) then pees over it.
