    DefaultPoop analysis question

I know I'm not the only one to look at my dog's poop now & then. Should I be seeing the same grainyness in his poop that I see in his kibble? Or does this mean the kibble is really just going in one end & out the other & he's not getting any real nutritional benefits? The kibble has some dark grains & that is what I am noticing in his poop, like someone sprinkled his poop with pepper.

    He's on ProPlan Sensitive Stomach.

I would say that he is not digesting that particular grain. Does it have flax seeds in it? They can be small and dark, and probably not very digestible if in the whole grain form.

Thanks Pat! I will check the ingredient listing again. Maybe I will email Purina to inquire what grain the dark specs are....if they would even know?! We're still having anal gland issues & I think despite him doing well otherwise on this food, I may have to start looking into something else for him.

Oh, Colin! You are missing the key ingredient for this thread.... you are not supposed to identify specifically what he ate, just describe the poopies!!
