To make a long story short Dozer has been vomiting for 12+ hours and has had diarrhea since about 3:00am. We called the emerge vet at 3:30 and they suggested to fast him for 12 hours and allow him minimal water (but enough so he didn't dehydrate) but if there was no improvement to bring him in. He vomited twice after that, smaller amounts and then at 8:30 this morning he had diarrhea that was bright red. Dh took him in. They got there about 10 minutes ago. We are very careful about him, crated when we're not home, etc., so I don't know if he sneaked and got into something when we were home. His poop yesterday afternoon was perfect.
I have to be at work for 10:45am. My sister is heading to the emerge clinic (she works there very part time when she's available from her other job -- different vet clinic) and if dh is not back in time for me to go to work she's going to come here and watch my kids.
I'm so stressed. So worried. My poor puppy.
Prayers for Dozer!
Good thoughts for Dozer, Samantha... keep us updated!!
Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts for Dozer and you.
Isn't it great to have a sister
Hope that he's ok.
Don't worry too much over the blood as Jasper had a bad case of GE with blood in his stools and made a quick recovery.
Good thoughts for Dozer.
Prayers for Dozer. Sounds somewhat like what Nellie had 4 weeks ago. It was viral I think. She was on 3 different meds and it took her a full 3 weeks to fully recover. I caught it from her and it took me about 3 weeks to recover. If that is what it is it is nasty.

I hope this is something minor. Colin's post was encouraging.
