DefaultDo you have a poop eater???

I never thought this would happen given Diesel's reaction to poop... bends down to sniff then jerks his head back like, eww, that smells like sh*t!

We were out back when he pooped & I realized I didn't have any baggies handy & also realized with our vet appointment this afternoon for his anal glands that I hadn't used the poop sample container from our last checkup yet.

Less than 5 minutes later, I go to the spot where the flies were circling to see the flies were gone.... and so was the poop!!!

YUK!! Does your dog eat its' own poop or another dog's poop?

My girls never did - other animal poop, yes, but not dog poop. Both boys did, but Bruno stopped. I think it takes a combination of picking it up immediately, and scolding when you catch him.

    No, thank God.
I'm not sure I would ever let them kiss my face again if they were poop eaters.

Baloo never was, but when we lived with my mom for a bit they would let him out in the backyard and leave him unattended, so he picked up the habit. Awesome. :/

Now he's always leashed when I take him out and he leaves it like a good boy, but if I werent on the other end of that leash i'm sure he would take advantage.

I know!!! That's the worst part He didn't like it much but he got his teeth brushing early today!!! Though I still can't erase from my head what he ate.... then again, I'm sure all our dogs lick their butts from time to time & we still allow kisses so....

Next time I will be sure to have bags handy & give him a chance to try so I can do the firm LEAVE IT!!

Otis did later in his life. A poop-eater's vomit is a special kind of disgusting.

I've never had a poop eater, but the first day I had Nola come home I had the three dogs outside and she went for Ruby's poop.

I just happened to have the metal scoops and buckets ready and I LOUDLY clacked and clanked the metal and bucket.

Now when I grab the poop bucket she runs like the devil, but doesn't make any eye contact with poop LOL

It's probably right up there with regurgitated horse shit.
Java tried horse shit once when she was running ahead off leash....then threw it back up 5 minutes later.
She steers clear of it now.

No, but Ace is a pee drinker. He follows the girls around and laps it up when they're done. So gross.
