    DefaultFlea/Tick Prevention

We do not live in a heavy flea/tick area and do not use flea/tick preventative on a regular basis (I have never found fleas or ticks on the dogs). Next weekend we are going to an area that is high in fleas and ticks. I have to go to the vet today to get him something, what is everyone using for flea tick prevention this year?

We use Sentry's Natural Defense, not the best choice if you do live in a heavy flea area as you would need to use too much of it but it's the best we've found for short term exposure to fleas and ticks. The boys have never had an adverse reaction to it

    Debi... are you heading north?

I don't use anything on Emmett and I never have on Reckless... So I'm really curious on this topic.

We've been using Frontline for a while now and it seems to work for us.

We are going to the UP, and my mom said that the ticks were bad right now. Normally I don't use anything when going to my mom's, but I guess I will this time. Biting flies are also horrible at her house, and the mosquitoes are horrific here. I called the vet's office, and they said that a lot of people were having good luck against mosquitoes with Vectra 3D. I have never heard of that, has anyone ever used it?

Thanks. My son just went to get some. I hope it gives him some relief from the mosquitoes that we have here.
