HK is going to be fine, but she is in a lot of discomfort. According to her vet, I have to imagine trying to walk on my feet after the bottom of both of them were exposed to scalding water.
She really is doing okay. She isn't running anywhere, and is picking her path (grassy) carefully. She is avoiding any paved surface, even crushed rock. The pads are healing pretty well from the Bacitracent I have been putting on them, and know will be applying bag balm to them also. Vet said I did all the right things, and just have to let her take it easy and stay off hot surfaces.

Glad she is getting better and hope she is not in to much pain also something my grnadma told my dad adn he tole me is that if you take your shoes off and step on the ground your dog is walking on and it is to hat for your feet it is to hot for your dog pads if they are walking on it for a distances. I have always followed that rule adn so far it has worked
~It doesn't matter how smart the dog is,it matters how smart the owner is.

Just seeing this Ed, sure hope she's up and running soon. Give HK puppy kisses from Sammi and a smooch on the nose from me.
Poor HK - and poor Ed! Don't beat yourself up over it, Ed, just take care of your girl. Things like this happen in life.
