    DefaultSwimming...Kind Of

Nearly every day, we walk a trail by the river and Bean splashes around in a calm, beachy area. He won't get the bumper if it gets thrown too far- he just barks at it. Yesterday he watched a pair of ducks float right by. Well, today he actually swam! Right up to a couple of ladies, and tried to jump into their kayaks. They paddled away, but I had to ask one to come back toward the shore so that I could grab my fool dog. He was following them upriver. I was sooo embarassed.

HA! Well, of course Mom - I don't care about some silly bumper - it's the PEOPLE I wanna see!

Two nights ago, I took Malone down to the river and tried to get him to retrieve some sticks. He was very distracted as there were 3 men trying to fish and he just HAD to smell everything that was going on. Good thing he didn't spot the "jumping" backpack full of fish. Needless to say, he didn't do any swimming! Just a lot of sniffing.........
