CoolA Quiet Lab Isn't Necessarily A Good Lab

Just finishing up the last of my packing for the big move tomorrow. I saved my wardrobe for the end so that I could take my time going through clothes I no longer want & do last minute laundry of all my sheets, towels, rugs & curtains. I also saved all of my accessories to the end - purses, belts & shoes to see if there were any I could purge.

I'm in the bedroom folding some clothes when it dawns on me I hadn't heard a peep out of Diesel in about 20min. At first I just shrugged & thought he was probably taking a nap, then I realized the pile of accessories were Lab accessible!!

Sure enough, I turn the corner into the living room and the second he sees me he uses his tongue to push the purse strap out of his mouth & looks up at the ceiling... "uh, I'm not doin nuthin". Totally my fault & too friggin cute to get the least bit mad. He's been an angel boy til this one incident despite his house being a maze of boxes!

10hrs & 45min til the movers get here!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck with the move.

A quiet Lab in our house means trouble.

As with human children - when quiet they're either thinking of getting up to mischief...or up to it

    Good luck with the move.

Oooo... that kind of quiet. Bad sign... bad sign.

You have learned a valuable lesson. Seems to be true for all of our beloved labs

ha! THIS IS SOOOOO true. Last night I thought.... Hmmm it's strangely quiet. Go downstairs to see Malone under the table with hubby's bike glove in his mouth. Nothing would dislodge that sucker. Had to resort to CHEESE. :S

Diesel just figured that purse was in the discard pile so he was going to help take it apart.
