This is Diesel. 5 year old neutered black male Labrador retriever. Owner surrendered due to owner illness. 94 pounds. Quiet giant. He is taller than Jack and 14 pounds heavier. Have had him here for 24 hours. He has not barked. Had to coax him into the pool but once in, did not want to get out. Swam in the pool for almost 20 minutes Needed help getting out once. Went back in on his own. He used the ladder like Jack getting in and out. Slept on a dog bed in the bedroom all night. Has not surfed. Knows some commands which we will reinforce. Diesel has already been helpful. He got Jack to go swimming, and Buddy has a somebody to play with. He likes to play with Buddy. He tried to nudge Jack into playing but Jack told him to bugger off. Diesel will be a great addition for someone.
He is handsome! I hope he finds a good home and thanks for fostering him
Oh he is a handsome devil!
My pretty girl, Lexi!
He is really good looking. I hope he finds his forever home soon. But I'm glad he is with you while he waits.
Handsome guy. Hope he gets a great forever home
Love that face... Do you have him until he finds a new forever home? (Sorry if that's a dumb question don't know much about fostering)
He's a fine looking boy, Andy. It would be really hard for me to let go of that one.

Usually the Labs stay until adopted unless they decide he should go north for an Adoption Day event. LRRP took in their 500th Lab this week. So far homes have been found for about 460. At this pace almost 900 Labs will have been surrendered to LRRP by the end of the year. Bittersweet. 900 Labs will have had their worlds turned upside down. But 900 will find forever homes where they will be loved.Hey Squirt wrote: Do you have him until he finds a new forever home?

Good looking boy! Hope he's another foster failure!
