Hi, I am adopting a 4 mos. old female lab puppy from a shelter on Sat. I just talked to the people at the shelter and they said she weighs 15.6 lbs. Does that seem a bit light for a 4 mos old puppy? Just curious. Thank-you
There must have been a mistake or they ain't feeding that puppy! most lab puppys weigh that much when they are 11-15 weeks old! My guess she should be at around 40 some pounds by now.

Depends on the puppy. Being at a shelter, there's probably a good chance she's not purebred so maybe that's her proper weight at that age. Also unless they've had her since birth, they don't really know how old she is. If you want to adopt her, don't worry about any of that...feed her enough and love her and she'll be big enough for her
