Good question - there appears to be another breed in there from the photos. some kind of pointer maybe?

Not the first time I hear about this. I ran into a lady at the park and asked if her dog was full weim (he look like it). She said "no, he is 3/4 weim and 1/4 lab". Yep. The "breeder" has been doing that mix for many years (which makes her think it must be pretty sucessful and worthy) as it "tones down" the weim. Sigh. People buy anything don't they! BUT, at least they were calling it a lab/weim mix.

Funny, I rarely saw weims around my area but not that I have Macy I see them more and more (and get stopped by owners who don't have their weim with them!)

ETA: funniest description I have read about weims: "Their temperaments are a cross between a cat, a goat, and a two year old child "

I know it's wrong...but I SO love the coloring on some of those dogs. The greys and silver colors are just beautiful....I can definitely see their appeal.
However, I would NEVER buy one.

I won´t promote these breeders and wouldn´t get one of these mixes unless its adopted, but I think most of them are gorgeous dogs. I looked at the pictures and I really like their athletic thinner bodies and their sculpted heads with the light colored eyes. they look like the perfect mountain biking dogs, like my friend´s German Pointer.

They do resemble blue, fawn and isabella dobermann pinschers.

One thing I found funny is that they wanted to "create" a Weimaraner with a winter coat... Well there are Long-haired Weimaraners also...
