He was instrumental in helping Monster adjust when we brought him home in February. But he has been absolutely outstanding in helping with Rude, cuddling with him, teaching him appropriate doggy manners, intervening when Rude gets into the "puppy crazies" and is too much for Peanut or Monster to handle. Booman watches out for the puppy, making sure he is safe and happy. He takes being tackled by a clumsy too-big-for-his-own-good dogo baby, being grabbed with razor puppy teeth all in stride, never losing his patience but at the same time setting appropriate limits when needed.
He also watches him when we're out, and if Rude is nervous about another dog or anything like that Baloo is right by his side with his goofy optimism, making Rude feel instantly better about whatever the situation may be. I may end up with the most temperamentally stable and laidback dogo argentino in the world, and my wonderful labrador will be to thank for that.
I love this dog, and this breed.
