Soooo here's last night's Sophie entertainment: She is in the backyard with my husband and oldest son (he's 31). She is running around like Miss Energy, spies an opossum in our yard. She chases it up onto our pool deck (all the while husband and son trying to keep her away from the offending "Possum"). The possum went into the pool and under the cover. We put flashlights by the pool ladder where the cover is open thinking the possum would follow the light. It worked and the possum came out and was sitting on the edge of the pool. My son scooted it off with a stick. The possum flopped to the ground and my son exclaimed, "on no! I think I killed it!" He proceeds to reach down to pick it up by the tail! My husband yelled NO!! He said, haven't you ever heard of "playing possum"? They have razor sharp teeth! So my son takes the snow shovel to try to scoop it up, to which the possum takes off running, with Sophie being very vocal! (she can't get inside the pool fence) So it finally gets cornered in our fence and my son along with the snow shovel scooched it over the fence. Sophie ran in the house like a bullet, dove into her water bowl, and started digging at the water with her from paws! She had water all over the kitchen! She then would run and play slip-n-slide through the kitchen! Well, that's one way to get the kitchen mopped! LOL! We got the water cleaned up and she decided to take a nap...just looking at her sleeping like an angel...who would have thought it was the same wild child from a few minutes ago! She keeps us in stitches, and on our toes! She was 3 months on Wed and is 26 lbs...and a funny girl...
