DefaultHow to solve big brother jealousy?

Cody, my 6 year old boxer mix was being a really great big brother to Martin, my 9 week old lab pup until a few days ago. He has never tried to seriously hurt the puppy but he did bite him this morning and he's been extremely bad about stealing the pup's treats. I make sure to give them each the same amount of treats and equal attention but it's like Cody isn't agreeing with being friendly to the puppy any more. I've had the pup since June 24th so he's kinda going backwards with his behavior. Any advice? Thanks!

Has Cody been an only dog all his life? He must learn to respect Martin's food. Maybe stop treats and just feed meals until they are both comfortable withe the ruls: They dont touch the other dog's food bowl until other dog walks away. Feed them at the same time, but be right there to correct any misbehavior.

There should be no opportunity for treat stealing. Mine sit and each gets given their treat directly. They know the drill and each respects the other.

Same here. It takes time so hang in there.
Gemma is great, but when food is involved the monster comes out so I feed her in another room. Erns lets Gems and Tessa take his food so another reason I feed seperately. Tessa is getting good at leaving Erns treats. At first I had to stand right beside him but I can now back off to watch ready to stop her.
