I've been wondering how to get Buddy (a rescue) interested in toys. Buddy and Ace get kongs and other food-stuffed toys, but once they've finished them they're not interested in them. Ace, who we've had since he was pup, loves to play with you with toys. Ace will prance around with toys in mouth trying to get you to throw or tug. Buddy doesn't seem to get it. He won't chase something thrown and doesn't seem to react to squeakies. He does, however, love to steal stuff. He's constantly snatching things that are not toys while I'm not looking. Things like shoes, toilet paper, bills, napkins. Usually he just moves it from one spot to another, but sometimes brings it to his crate. Why is he so interested in random stuff, but I can't get him to care about toys?
