Today our morning walk was sooo not enjoyable at all. First off the guy with the nasty german shepard that always lunges at Misha... she was fine just got hackles up but behaved.
Next another neighbor started walking his female lab in the park but unleashed, she quite doesnīt venture into sniffing with my two but passes running at full speed close by... of course I get a black and yellow ball tugging on the leash to go run with the "hopefully" new crazy friend.
Then the weird thing... I was walking by a house where they have a Dalmatian, younger than Homer, and I have always let them socialize through his gate and never ever saw aggression. Today the Dalmatian was out on the street with no owner around.
They start sniffing and trying to play, waay to excited, I had to pull Misha and Homer to the side walk since cars were passing, and hoping the Dalmatian doesnīt get run over, so I called him.
Finally old man owner appears, and the Dalmatian immediately goes crazy and attacks Misha (heīs a male, so thatīs really strange because Homer would have been the target). I had to kick him off Misha, she didnīt even try to fight back nor cowarded or anything, she was still very excited with the over excited dog
I really didnīt want to kick him or anything, but owner did nothing to control him. The strangest thing is that the dogs pretty much sniff each other through the gate every day during our walks and never ever showed aggression. I guess the owner being there was the element that triggered the attack...
The guy didnīt say anything, except "ohhh heīs never been aggressive"...
Itīs ridiculous what one has to end up doing just because of irresponsible people... luckily no harm was done but just the fact that I was the one who had to control other personīs dog to keep it from being ran over by a car and then contolling his aggression is just crazy...
I'm sorry your walk was ruined by irresponsible dog owners .
