He ate alot of seeds and he has been coughing and hacking the last few days since he has eaten them. Im worried that it is clogging or hurting his stomach or something. He is still eating and drinking but I can tell that he is still not feeling well. He is 2 years old and a muscular hunting dog. Is this a bad thing?
I would call the vet and ask if they are abd for him or not. how many did he eat?
~It doesn't matter how smart the dog is,it matters how smart the owner is.
I would call the vet to check.
I am a landscaper and the dogs are forever getting into the seeds. I never have seeds that could cause them harm so let them poop them out. I don't think pickle seeds are harmful and my vet says they react within 24 hours.
Hope your dog is better now! Are these pickled sunflower seeds? Sound delicious!

I am guessing dill pickle flavored sunflower seeds like dill pickle flavored potato chips.
I am sure the dog is fine. It's not like 1 could block anything in the intestines. I think even a mass of them within feces would still be squishable to fit through the intestines during a bowel movement.
I'd be checking the contents to see what they use to flavor them with, just to be safe. There was probably a lot of salt on them, too. He may have a couple stuck either in his teeth or throat - have you checked his mouth carefully? Try feeding him a couple of slices of bread to see if it helps (after you check his mouth).
