    DefaultLong lasting chews

I need some suggestions for long lasting chews. I need to keep this kid busy! She likes BusyBones but she eats a whole one in like 25 minutes! Are there any good long lasting chewies out there?

We have had 2 types of nylabones. One is a plasticy rubber material and she rarely touches it and the other was a lamb and apple flavored chew that she ate in less than 10 minutes!

I just looked up antlers and they look dangerous! What kind do you get? Like what kind of animal?

I have found that bully sticks last the longest of "edible chews", Emilu can eat one down fairly quickly, but it will keep Baxter busy for quite a while - the braided ones are even better, but all decent bully sticks are kind of expensive, so I use them when I am desparate to get the dogs out of my hair for a while. Fresh beef femor bones can last a really long time (rinse and freeze inbetween uses), but the last time I gave them to Baxter I think he got an upset tummy or bowels, so I haven't given them to them for quite a while - Emilu and Skippy did great with them. None of my dogs have ever liked Nylabones. I used to do some of the large smoked type beef knuckes, etc, but they tend to break off in shards, so I don't feed them anymore.

what size nylabone did you buy? even for young dogs I tend to get the 50+ pound recommended ones.

Another vote for antlers. I've also found the "Souper" Nylabones last quite awhile. They're the ones that look somewhat like a forearm with a closed fist.

I use the hard "flavored" nylabones in the larger size and they last for ever. I don't feed my dogs any edible chews.
