A female black lab, maybe 3-4 yrs old.
Some kind of Chihuahua mix on a harness
A 7.5 wk old yellow lab pup
Question: Which one is the best behaved?
THE SEVEN-POINT-FIVE WEEK OLD YELLOW LAB PUPPY!!!!
The female lab -- who the seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy thought *briefly* might have been related to him but quickly dismissed that idea when he saw how she was behaving -- was repeatedly trying to haul her 70+ pound self into the laps of Mom & Dad who were sitting and waiting their turn. The seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy didn't quite know what her issue was, but she was a mess: crying, stressing, jumping.
The Chihuahua-mix was a brat, according to the seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy, snarling and bark-bark-bark-bark-bark-barking at the entire world in this shrill voice that could've shattered glass.
The seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy bounced around a little. Settled in by laying on the floor. And waited his turn. Of course, he accepted all the Ooohs and Ahhhs that came his way from the staff.....
He also made the vet bleed.
Vet was petting him and caught his thumb on the seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy's teeth, right where the nail meets the quick. Eesh. Way to make a good, first impression, seven-point-five week old yellow lab puppy!

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Great first visit.
But I remember Diesel's first visit where he fell asleep during the exam. He was so tired he was not even excited to get a new stuffed toy from the vet, instead they just put it under his head as a pillow while he was napping. That sure has changed.
